I am also kinda fuzzy here as I am also not very sure about this. What I am looking to do is user id check. Now when someone enters a id for a subject (only the person that enter the id knows about it) a kind of check has to be performed against the existing id's (records) in the table. The check will be done is such a way so that, the servlat or whatever will check the id entered against the existing id's, if none match, then suggest the nearest id to the one user entered !!.
