ai2cnt ? Plug and Play driver ...Solve ?

The last time I was onthe Forum. FreddyV wrote a heap about ai2cnt. I still am not able to get the Monitor to shift from VGA (default mode) to EGA despite using a V330 AGP card which is 100% compatible according to the Microsoft Official HCL listing ??

The AGP is Viper V330 ( NIVA 128 Chipset) and the MOtherboard is also onthe HCL list GA-6BXD. But I keep getting this "!" against the AGP and the above mysterious "ai2cnt" hidden driver ???.

I also get STOP ERROR (blue sheet) :
0x000000CA (0x00000001,0x81817b30)if the connect my Sony CD-R/RW CRX-175M to the Power supply. If I disconnect this CR R/RW drive is 100% boot up no error. Sony tell me my drive may have fault ??? It this possible ??

Prior to this it worked 100% with Win98 SE. Alsot he V330 too worked fined. Looks like the only solution is to dual boot the PC?

Hope to hear from anyone and Freddy V onteh 2IC or ai2cnt problem. What has the NVIDIA WDM go tot do with ai2cnt driver?

Get the latest XP drivers for the exact video card you have from the manufacturer. Replace the Sony drive.

Viper V330 driver for XP ? What for when it's a HCL product? It not the is the problem but the ai2cnt driver not being there Error 24. If not I will not even see VGA mate.

As for getting a new Cr R/RW ...why should I? It worked purely earlier. I need to just dual boot confirm it it still work ,then may if it's screwed ..replace it Franklin97355

Searching with term viper at:

shows me that the Viper 330 AGP is compatible with Windows 2000 but not Windows XP. Nvidia does not have a RIVA 128 driver beyond Windows 9x, and Diamond Multimedia appears to have been absorbed by SonicBlue. A search at:

also shows no XP drivers for your card. Looks like it's time to retire that card, at least as far as XP is concerned.

Parameter 1 is 1, so multiple PDOs (physical device objects)
have been detected by the driver for your CD-RW drive. Sounds more like a software problem to me.

Dear Freestone ,
I use only Win 2000 SP3 and some PreSP4 patches. I know Viper 330 is suppose to work with Win2000 mate. But the (!) also comes up on the ai2cnt - hiddent driver ...which is the main problem for me. As for Sony ..I agree it's again driver or software problem for me. I need to crib to Sony to get their Support line ont his but their Web page say Xp is suppoe to have the driver for this ?

How can I confirm what new HCL for XP before I even consider shiting to XP and just screw Windows 2000 and go back to Win NT.

With what operating system are you currently having the ai2cnt and Sony CD-R/RW problems, Windows 2000 or XP?

To answer your question. I have Windows 2000 Prof NOT XP at all. Forget about the Sony CD-R/RW, I agree it's driver related but the problems with my Graphic Adapter si related to ai2cnt as the Viper 330 AGP show "!" the same as the hiddent plug and play driver ai2cnt "!". I not ideas of this ai2cnt. I have check the Gigabyte motherboard supplier as I use the GA-6BXD. I suppose this answers your question and waht the problems is related to.

Ah, well okay then. May I suggest that you repost your questions in the Microsoft: Windows 2000 Professional forum, and not the Microsoft: Windows XP Pro forum? You may have better luck getting answers there.
