I have read every post on Google that I could find.

For some reason, my laptops (n800c compaq) will not boot. In safe mode it hangs at the agp440.sys file.

I disabled the service like MS says but it still will not boot. this machine worked 100% until this happened. I suspect auto update downloaded and installed something on its own. Every post says to update the bios and update the Video card drivers. But every post says this will not work for them.

Can I update the video drivers from the recovery concole??
