HI

I HAVE WINDOWS 2000, FOXPRO VER 2.6 DOS.

DEBUGGING THE PROGRAM I NOTICE THAT I ONLY HAVE 25 WORK AREA
AVAILABLE. I CHANGE THE CONFIG.NT FILES = 200, CREATE A CONFIG.FP WITH THE INFORMATION I GATTHER IN THE FORUM AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. VERIFY IN OTHER COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS NT AND THE APPLICATION WORKS FINE. WHEN THE 25 WORK AREAS GET FILLED IT START IN 0 AND DISPLAY THE ERROR ROUTINE.

WINDOWS 2000 DON'T RECOGNIZE THE 200 WORK AREAS AVAILABLE IN DOS ENVIRONMENT CONFIGURATION.

PLEASE HELP.

THANK YOU

If you ONLY have 25 work areas, then you must be running the Standard version of FPD. Consider running the Extended version - it has up to 225 work areas. It should be just a matter of providing the proper runtimes (Foxdx260.esl, rather than Foxd2600.esl and Foxd2600.eso), and making sure the PIF / LNK has access to an extendend memory manager.

Back in the "old" days, we managed to write some pretty sophisticated (albeit slow) applications in dBase II with just 2 (two) work areas.

in your shortcut or whatever you fire fox up with

make sure you have a +X (to put it in Extended fox)

i.e.

FOX +X

or

FOXR +X NEWAPP.APP

Hope it helps
