I just installed VFP9 over VFP8 and things were fine.
Then I uninstalled VFP8 (which I probably should have done 1st).

I then tried to launch an exe on another computer and got the message:

"Cannot Locate the Microsoft Visual FoxPro support library"

So, I uninstalled and reinstalled VFP9 (making sure VFP-9 beta versions were not around as well in Control Panel).

(Any suggestions. I'm afraid to uninstall VFP8 on other computers until this is resolved ... I installed VFP9 over VFP8 on these as well)

Thanks in advance,

Philip

VFP9 and VFP8 can coexist peacefully on the same machine provided you installed them in different directories (which is the default for both).

It sounds like you used the same directory, so SOME (but not all) files would have been overwritten. You may need to reinstall both, properly isolating them.

Thanks for your peaceful words, Dan.

I've done reinstallations but not recompilations in version 9.

If that fails I'll repost.
