Hello all.
After restoring a Neware 5.1 sp7 server Image to a newer server, server won't boot, the server starts normally after the splash screen, I get this error:

"NICI CCS: fatal - initialization error
Controlled Cryptogrphy services are not available."

does anybody have seen this before? is it possible to repair
this and get the server to boot normally?
I used Portlock to create the image.

That error will happen if the SYS volume is not mounted.

If you applied the image to a newer server, it probably has a different HAM driver or different settings.

Do a VOLUMES to see if SYS is mounted, and if not, find the correct driver and set the C:\NWSERVER\STARTUP.NCF file to use the new driver instead of the old. Make sure the new driver is also located in C:\NWSERVER directory.

Thanks, Marving that did it I appreciate you help.
now the server boots sys: vol mounts bot in the middle of the booting proccess dhcp and dns try to load an then this error appears error-328 during nds operation and stays there and it won't finish booting. what do you think is causing this?.

thanks.

Haven't seen that error but it is most likely specific to your DNS stuff. See if you can rem the NAMED and DHCPSRVR lines out and get the rest of the server up clean.

Then load DHCPSRVR, then NAMED. See which one bombs and troubleshoot from there.
