Hello, I have a customer that just switched to a PRI, with the keycode enabler. They have had extreme lost calls and the circuit going up and down. I have changed out all hardware (DTI, patch cord) and this is still happening. Channels 6-23 are stating that the far end is out of service, when in a trouble state. Of coarse the LEC is saying it is clean. Can I go back to the old T-1 circuit, with the PRI enabler keycode in this MICS 5.0. Let me know if there is anything else I should be checking, and thanks in advance.

Ask if the CO switch is a DMS. If so, then on their side, L1FLAGS needs to be set to Y. Also, if your variant is NI-2, check the CO setting on B Channel Service. Normally, this should be turned OFF for Nortels. If the CO is something other than DMS, I can't help.

Try what harrisd1200 said first. But yes you can go back without any issues. You'll have to make the changes under Hardware and Line programming. Also have the carrier change there side back. Another choice is look at upgrading the system because there were known issues with 5.0 and PRI circuits.

If you do end up upgrading, be very careful, because if the system defaults, you'll lose the PRI key.

It is not recommended that you use a S/W level LOWER than 6.1MR3 with PRI.

Also, if you do upgrade, make sure that your voicemail will be compatible first.

Great stuff guys, we are checking with the LEC, they do have a NAM so upgrading is kinda out of the question, for now. I'll let you know, how we come out. Anything else?
