I just updated my BIOS using an auto update program that came with the computer. The board is a nforce 2 from MSI. When I turn on the power I get a black screen, no signal to my moniter, and it seems the keyboard is also dead, though at first the 3 lights to blink. There are 0 beeps.
any help would be great thanks.

Hopefully you didn't kill your board. Flashing isn't exactly a wise thing to do unless you are actually going to gain something by doing it (e.g. Allow for higher spec CPU).

The problem with flashing is that if you use the wrong file or get a power surge, you can kill your board altogether.

In this case what I would do is reset the BIOS by removing the BIOS jumper and putting it back on.

Flashing bios from windows is really a bad one.
Even if manufacturers make programs to do it, ive never
deared to do it .
Meny reports of bad flashes doing this.

Always use a msdos bootable diskette with
the flash util and the bios file copied to it.

If you have a motherboard with onboard graphics
try unplugging your graphics card.
Connect your monitor to the integrated vga connector.
And see if it post's to screen.

Another thing you can try is to look in your manual for a Clear CMOS jumper on your motherboard, and the procedure on how to use it. What MSI board are you using?

Thanks all, when all else fails, read the manual :).
Its back and running, it was not the bios, but the CPU some how getting set to way over its actual rating (bad overclock).
Though now, when I restart my computer I some times get a black screen, and 3 loooong beeps around 2 seconds long. Whats that error mean?

It does say in the manual what the beep faults indicate.
We cannot guess, what type of msi is it .

I'm betting that since your reset your CMOS, there is still a setting that is wrong, either memory timings or CPU.
