HI,
I'm backing up a drive in Brightstor V9.01 using the backup agent for windows. I want one directory excluded so I un-selected the directory. The problem is now that whenever a directory is removed from that drive, that I get the AE0005 "Directory xyz does not exist".
Does anyone know how to avoid having to modify my backup job every time a directory is deleted?

Thanks.

This the way arcserve works, try to select the whole drive and put filters to exculde unwanted folders otherwise you have live with those warning, those type of warning won't harm your backup don't worry.

Not just that but the oposite is true also. If a directory is added off the root then it will not be backed up. Deselecting a directory or file causes a the directory tree to be saved as part of the job as it is there in the backup window. So not only do you get the messages when one of the listed directories or files is missing but new ones are not part of the backup. As mohamdr said select the whole drive and use a filter to exclude what ever directories and files you do not want.
