Hi

Having added a few more fields to a few more forms, some users are getting this error message.

I've pruned the queries to only required data per form and set some forms to close others if open, which fixes some occurrences.

Does anyone have any other tips on how to minimise the likelihood of getting this error?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Could this have more to do with the users opening up too many instances of Access rather than an issue with your database in particular? Next time someone encounters this error, you may want to see how many Access windows are open on their PC. It is possible (knowing user mentality) that if your database takes a few seconds to open (if on the network), that a user is double-clicking more than once. Just a thought...

Hi Rich,

Thanks for your suggestion. It's not double-clicking (I can replicate this myself), it is just one access window - this is local MDE front-ends accessing a networked back-end so it's either the front-end itself getting overloaded or it's the number of links currently opened to the back-end that has a limit.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Steve
