Hi all,

Im looking for some advice,
Im trying to create a basic webpage creation system for users whereby user preferences (i.e. links, text, page title, images) are specified by the user and captured via a form. Then using a select query, if a user wishes to edit a particulat element of their page, all the users preferences are rendered and is then editable.

my question is:

are there any structures or methods in Coldfusion to create a URL specifically for a user.
I've been looking into the application.cfm method but I cant seem to relate it somehow??
I think session variables are the answer (tracking users between sessions) but im not sure this the answer.
Are there any good tutorials for developing applicaion.cfm files within Coldfusion.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know it's christmas but i just had to get this done and then go and enjoy myself.

To all, wishing you a merry christmas!!

Sam....

the correct way is to add the CFID and CFTOKEN strings to the url
this issue has been discussed many times here, so if you perform a search on say, CFTOKEN it should return some interesting threads for you

Thanks Iza,

Whats the point of using CFID and CFTOKEN as the values given are always the same for three different users that I try to log in as?

Sam
