Hi all,I urgently need advices on Terminal Server Installation and Configuration.I have never install the new Windows 2003 Terminal Server. Coz we know there is a changes in the Terminal Server in Windows 2003.

In a week time, I need to install a Terminal Server for my customer.
For more info, server A(Windows 2003 AD) and server B(3rd party Applications).

Server B is the server, which users from remote office will be terminal in to use the applications.

Therefore, I'm not too sure which server should I install the Terminal Servers service on. And the things to take note of....and Licensing issue.

Hope to hear from all ASAP.

First thing to do would be to install Windows 2003 'Enterprise Terminal Server Licensing' from the windows components on Server A (Your DC). You will need to have an active TS License server within the enterprise for TS to run in Application mode.

TS Licensing is a component built into Windows 2000-03 server. (Add / Remove Windows components)

There will be an option to install TS licensing in Enterprise or Domain licensing mode. Never bother with Domain.

This would be a good start, good luck

Hi Andreh, thanks for yours advice.

Can I reconfirm that I will install the TS Licensing Server on my DC(Server A). Then install Terminal Server on the Application Server (Server B).

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Spot on Rolmank,

You will also need to activate the TS licensing server. Do this by right clicking the TS server within the TS licensing snap-in and select Activate. You will also need to add the licenses for TS Cals purchased.

Good luck
