Much too large a topic for a forum...See the 'Backup and Recovery' and 'Tuning' manuals ...Also the Oracle Server Concepts and other docs....

I know that it is a huge topic, but i just wanted a "north"(where to begin) because im reading a lot but some times i just want to "jump" into somethings and you guys,(turkbear, Karluk among others)have been very helpful, since im a beginer in oracle. I just wanted a couple of advise to what to "look for" for maintaining my db.

Thanks
