Can anyone point out some good links and / or help me out with some advice on backing up an IIS FTP server? The server has been flaky lately, and I can't imagine recreating all of the user permissions and directories if the server were to finally crash.. What would you do? TIA

Awesome! resolution 4 in that article did it for me. Setting the default domain for the ftp site

Adsutil Set MSFTPSVC/DefaultLogonDomain "Domain Name"

Now I just need to find the easiest way to export / import local machine users so I don't have to recreate them all by hand on the other machine (in the event that I'm not using AD users, rather local)

Good luck with that one...But there are lots of ways to import users (moreso with Windows Server 2003) - look around at microsoft.com.
