I was asked the question the other day if I could write 'Advanced Reports' I was wondering, what you guys/gals consider an 'Advanced' report?

Advanced Reports?

It's all relative to the environment, data source, quality of the data, etc.
If I have to write a supposedly simple report from a database that is poorly written it may take advanced skills to pull it off.
Advanced is also ralative to your experience. A seasoned report developer may be able to complete a report job that a less seasoned report developer will find advanced.
My response to that question is "The answer is relative to the environment, data source, quality of data, documentation on the DB Schema, specification, etc. What do you consider an advanced report?

Advanced reports could include a combination of Crystal's advanced features like:
Subreports, formulas, joining multiple mismatched tables (always fun), embedding fields in text objects, conditional formatting, unusual formatting, running totals, etc.
A simple reports is a tabular report with one or two groupings, two or three tables with equal joins, group summaries (totals or counts), and maybe a chart or a paramenter.
I teach a Level 1 (basic) class for Hammerman Associates, Inc. and a Level 2 (advanced) class. The basic class covers report writing using the Wizard or modifying an existing report. The Advanced class covers everything else.
