OK, I have SBS 4.5 and we have an ADSL router.

The server has 2 network cards, one for the internal lan, and the other one for the router.

The server can ping the router's real ip address. Also, the server's real ip address can be pinged from any PC that has internet access.

However, the server itself cannot browse the web. I have tried all sorts. I have ran the Internet Connection wizard in all sorts of various ways. I have fiddled with DNS but I just cannot get the server to browse the outside world.

I don't understand this when the router is fine and the server can be pinged from anywhere.

Can anyone advise please

HI.

Your server is probably running MS Proxy 2, right?
If so, try to configure the server to use itself as a proxy server.

Anyway, such a configuration is bad idea. A much better approach is purchase additional device to act as firewall.
Your file/mail/etc... server should not be directlry connected to the Internet, and should not provide Internet connectivity for workstation.
Another device (black box or software on another computer) should do that.
