In our environment we are using ADS Global policy, so whenever one PC will login to domain it is overriding the local policy. Can anybody advice how we can stop this override in some of the PCs from the client side.

Enforce the global policy, which means that settings in the global policy will never be overridden, but allows settings that dont conflict with the more specific policys to still be applied.

Hope this Helps.

it is overriding the local policy

Domain policy should take precedence over local policy. Create GPOs to match what settings you are trying to configure locally and apply to the desired PCs.

This will aloow you the same desired functionality while providing centralized administration.

I hope you find this post helpful.

I read this one wrong, I was thinking by local, for some reason, he was meaning "lower down the heirarchical AD structure GPOs.

It's not really a good idea to try and manage masses of computers with local policies.

Hope this Helps.
