ADP Payroll on NetWare 6.5

Is anyone running ADP v5 on a NetWare 6.5 server? We had to upgrade our ADP software and was forced to move up to NetWare 6.5.

The application is now sooooo slow that it is unuseable - ADP support is telling me it is a network/novell issue. I am having no other issues using this server. However we can copy the Database locally to a workstation and it screams.......

The server is a brand new Dell PowerEdge 700 w/(2) P4 2.8GHZ Processors, 1GB Ram, and 36GB SCSI HD. Its only role is for this ADP Payroll database. I am at a loss and not sure what to do.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I am not sure what to tweak since I am having no other issues with the server. I have considered installing SP1 to see if helps with the speed of the database.

SET CLIENT FILE CACHING ENABLED=OFF
SET LEVEL 2 OPLOCKS ENABLED=OFF

That's a start.. Also, some databases just run faster on Traditional volumes. It's not an easy thing to change from an NSS to Traditional, so hopefully you have some unpartitioned space.

Problem resolved.

There was a problem with NetWare auto loading the ACPIDRV.PSM module in the startup.ncf - making the single processor run as two virtual processors. It was partly my mistake because I thought the customer had purchased a dual processor system and did not go into the bios/hardware to verify.

The customer had also thought it was a dual processor system as well.

Also another set parameter we disabled was:
TCP Nagle Algorithm and TCP Delayed acknowledgement.
MONITOR !h | Server Parameters | Communications

It was as if the ADP database was waiting for a packet acknowledgement from the Server before updating/changing screens.

I wonder what would happen if you put these back on
