Hi - First off I have done a search so I have read all the other comments regarding this situation.
I am unable to completely migrate a computer account. I get passed installing the agent but it completes with errors. Here is the error message in the DCTLOG:

2005-01-28 14:36:47 ERR3:7075 Failed to change domain affiliation, hr=8007054b The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
2005-01-28 14:36:47 Wrote result file C:\Program Files\OnePointDomainAgent\IT100645269348682.result

The result file does not exist either.

I originally did get the "access denied" error. I added the 2003 domain admin to the local computer local admin group and that fixed that, but I was hoping not to touch every machine that I have to migrate.

Also I tried running the ADMT on the 2003 domain from an NT 4.0 domain admin account, but I received the same error.

I am doing this in test mode so I don't see the machine in the new domain (obviously). Can anyone help???

Thanks....Julie

have you setup full trusts between the 2 domains, and set the correct forest functional level for your 2003 domain?

if its not broken, fix it anyway - with luck you might break it and have an excuse

Yes, the trusts are working and the forest is in the correct mode. I was able to migrate User Accounts and Groups without issue.

strange.
could be a corrupted entry for the PC in your domain..
is it feasible removing and rejoining it to the domain, this way it'll generate a new sid for the pc's domain account.

other than that... google i'm afraid.

I could try that since it is a test pc that i am trying to migrate. Thanks. I already Googled!! I will try again.

if at first you don't succeed....
google again in with a different word order.

most important is that your users & groups migrate over....

I think I found my answer. Because I was using it in test mode the actual move does not complete so you get that error message.

You can reference Microsoft Tech Note: 828261

Now I just am having an issue with profiles migrating...any known issues there?
