admin password

I am a novice. Our Admin password was changed and now we cannot login with the admin account. We do not have a backup Admin account. I am not sure if root is enabled.

After executing workgroup manager the old password was used to login to workgroup manager as Admin. The Admin account was selected and the password appeared. The password field was hidden with ******* or bullet point type. The password was changed by adding two additional characters to the old password. The new password was not retyped (we addded two additional characters to the password field). Now we cannot login using the Admin account.

Any suggestions?

reboot using the install CD's, then choose the change password option. you will be able to re-establish the admin password
