I installed the admin pack on a windows 2000 machine, the adminpak.msi.

I thought this came with user manager and server manager?

Right now on other machines the user manager and server manager are in the C:\WINNT\system32\ directory.

I can just copy them over to the pc but I thought this was installed with the admin pack?

Thanks!

Think User & Server manager are NT server, not 2k server tools.

The equivalent in 2000 is "Computer Management." Right click on My Computer and choose Manage. If you want to see manage another computer, right click on "Computer Management (Local)" and choose "Connect to another computer..."

Yes, we are nt 4.0 server.

Curious as why it didn't add the user manager and server manager though when installing.

On my pc it did?

You installed admin pack from 2k server (adminpak.msi is from 2k not NT server) on 2k pro machine and expect NT utilities? - but you're on NT server?

Confused, you will be, after this episode of...

Ended up just copying the programs over...
