Hi All:

We just recently have a virus out break, about 10-15 computers getting the same virus in an hour worth of time, now its under control we think

now we have a problem there seem to be a number of different account with admin prillvage kept on getting lock after a few minutes, and the lock comes back on the same people, we are kind of concern about this, anybody seem this issue before ?

thanks
JDK

might i ask what virus protection you run? just a question because I saw a simular issue with mcafee

FatesWebb

if you do what I suggested it is not my fault...

We are using Norton/Symantec AV corp. edition

HHHLLLLLEEEEPPPP !!!

I am suspecting there something kept trying to logg in to as people with admin right, thus when it got the wrong password, it cause the lockout, but this also stop the legit login from accessing, I think I have stop all the infection by running the anti virus tools, but the locks still kept on coming

anybody ? what if at one time, all the admin people got locked out, how are we suppose to unlock ?

My question did you recently change the password of said account? If so do you have services that run daily that need an admin password ie. BACKUP - Veritas usually needs a service account. Other things that need a password. A mapped drive by another user

Just a shot in the dark
