At present we have an 18GB drive in this PC, we would like to install another drive of a higher capacity, one of 100gb if possible, HP only supply 18gb.Is it possible to go higher than this, with another manufacturers drive.

I don't see any reason why not.
100gb SCSI drive will be very expensive. Why do you require a SCSI drive?
If this is a stand alone computer why not use an IDE drive (much cheaper).

I am now thinking that the best option would be an IDE drive, have you any idea as to which 100gb plus drive is compatible with an HP kayak XU800

Any 100gb IDE drive will be compatible. This machine isn't any different than any other.
You shouldn't have problem.
