Has anyone had any issues with adding a new Windows 2000 server to an exsisting NT Domain. The domain has 1 PDC and 1 BDC both running Windows NT 4.0 Server SP5. Has anyone experienced a problem with this "mixed mode" enviroment?
The new Windows 2000 server would strictly be a ras server.

No problems at all. Just make sure that in the initial setup of the Win2K server, you don't make it a domain controller.

I have 5 Win2K servers in a primarily WinNT (16 servers) environment, along with my Linux and Unix servers.

What are my options when bringing a Windows 2000 server online in an NT Domain when I do NOT want to upgrade my PDC to windows 2000? Do you know of any go online sources that I can go to for further research?
Thank you.

Found no issues. No options are needed you just add it to the domain as a member server. Network Support tools (DHCP, DNS etc are NOT installed by default. AD has to be installed seperatly). I have two Win 2k servers as member servers in a NT domain (PDC & BDC) with two Win 2k servers as AD DC,s ready for a changeover to AD, the two (basically independant) systems interact as trusting domains and everthing runs quite smoothly.
The best resource would be this forum and the MS Knowledge Base.

Chris.
