Adding users to a shared calendar. 1

Help! I am trying to find help on a situation with our Exchange 2000 environment. Microsoft is telling me there is no fix for it. They seem to not want to take the time to fix it so they offer a work-around.
We cannot get users that have been added to the system in the past 3 to 4 months to be able to be added to a shared calendar, task or contact. When you select their name from the GAL and hit "OK" their names do not appear in the "Sharing Calendar" wizard. We are able to add old users, any contacts, any groups, just not the most recent users.
Does anyone know what wnet wrong with our AD environment?
