Hi I am using Access 2003 with a SQL Server 2000 Backend.

I am doing a system for a publishers. One person can subscribe to one or more journals. Each Journal subscription consists of the current volume and previous ones. Each volume consists of issues.

I want to have a tabbed page
a) One for each journal
b) For each volume

To do this I could either have many hidden tab pages and make them visible or add them at runtime.

I want the user to be able to go the person and see which Journals the person has, and then which volumes they have, with the relevant issues.

How do I do this?

Or can anyone think of a better way than using tab pages?

Thanks in advance,

Ian

Hi

Wouldn't you have to have a tab page control within a tab page control (ie Volumes are within Journals?)

And I do not think you can do that

Plus depending on how many Journals and how many Volumnes, you could get a lot of tabs, in my view tabs begin to be a bit unwieldy after about 10-12 tabs (but that is obviously personal preference)

I think I would consider have two sub forms:

First one shows a list of Journals applicable to the subscriber, second shows the volumes (of the currently selected Journal)

You can have tab pages in tab pages using a work around I found in here.

Basically you have a tab page with a subform in it, the second tab page goes in that sub form.

I agree having may tabs would get cumbersome, I may try to implement it using list boxes instead, thanks for your help
