First off I'm using version 4.5. I want to add a stored procedure to my crystal report. Where do I do that? How do I do that? I read someone's tip that you just select the stored procedure name from the list of tables to add to the report, but only user tables are in that list not stored procedures. I was hoping there could at least be a stored procedure property I could set from vb, but there isn't (only a stored procedure parameter property). So, how do I do it. Help says I can, but not how.

Are you trying to create the report from CR?

If so, under FILE - OPTIONS - DATABASE Tab there is a check box to show stored procedures. Check it and you should see the stored procedures when you try to add a database. They will be in there own "directory" not with the tables and views.

That is how it works in CRv8.0. I suspect it will be similar in CRv4.5

Thanks mlmcc! It was under the SQL tab, not the Database tab. I haven't looked to see if it worked, but I'm sure it did. Yeah! Thanks!

I found this old thread of mine I thought I would add to. If I don't get a response, I'll start a new one.

I have upgraded to .net, and once again I can't seem to add stored procedures to my crystal report. When I go to add a database, the database only displays the tables and views. The instructions on the form even say pick a table or view. It doesn't show or mention stored procedures. I looked around for database/sql options like the solution to this problem in version 4.5, but I couldn't find anything like that. Does anyone know how to add stored procedures in crystalreports.net

Well it has taken me 2 days, but I've finally found the answer. To show stored procedures in the .net version of CR:

-right click on a blank area of the report
-select designer
-select default settings
-select database
