Hi,

Is there a way to add outside e-mail address to distribution lists? When I try to I get an error saying the address isn't in the container.

You can create a custom recipient for the outside address then add that recipient to the distribution list.

For Exchange 2003 (rather than earlier versions), go to Active Directory Users and Computers and choose an OU. Right click the container and choose New -> Contact. Create a new contact by supplying a name and email address. Now you you have an AD object that you can properly add to mail distribution groups.
