I have an existing Checkpoint Management console (R55 - running on SecurePlatform) and I need to add a new Nokia IP350 firewall to it. I've attached the license to the enforcement node (the IP350) using the cplic put from command line, but how do I establish SIC and get it talking to the mgmt console?

Well the first thing we need to determine is if you are running a higher version other then R55 on the firewall. If you are then the mgmt must be upgraded to an equal or higher version. You run cpconfig on the firewall and create a sic key/Password and then you enter this on the Smart Center and click initialize.

After running cpconfig on the firewall, type "fw unloadlocal". This will prevent the default policy (which is a drop all policy) from blocking your SIC attempts from the Management station. Next reset SIC on the Management Station and Push policy.
