Adding KEM To i2004 2

I've been asked to set up this bad boy

with an i2004 but I've never touched anything related to a KEM in the phone system. The "Example Setup" section says "Within CS 1000, configure the IP Alerter (which appears to the system just as a Key Expansion Module would) by setting Key 0 of the Alerter (the “KEM”) in System Programming as an appearance of the line to be monitored. Once set, telephone alerting is activated." Does this sound right? If so, how do you configure such a thing?

Just a lot of issues with 7.5. Patches released daily, I personally upgraded one to 7.5 last November, problems still there. Design has resolved 1 issue and now I have another issue in design. If it's a single basic site you should be fine. If you have a lot of bells and whistles expect some problems. System and Session Manager introduce a whole additional set of issues if you need SIP. All in all I'm very disappointed with their product and support lately.
