adding icons to a custom tool bar 2

I would like to add a custom toolbar
(view/toolbars/customise/toolbars)

How can I find different icons to use on a custom toolbar ?
(there was a toolbar named custom with different icons on it, however I deleted by mistake !)

Yogi,

The icons files have a suffix of "ico".

Therefore, use Explorer (shortcut: Hold down the "Window" key and hit "E&quot.

Then use Tools - Find - Files or Folders.

Then type in *.ico and click "Find Now".

This will list ALL the "ico" files on your PC.

Then simply reference any one, or one-at-a-time until you find one which contains icons which are suitable.

Thanks, how can I incorporate on to a custom toolbar though ?

Yogi,

Right-click on the Toolbar area, then choose "Customize".

Go to the "Commands" tab, and scroll down to "Macros".

On the right is "Custom Button".

Drag it to an existing toolbar, or if you want to create your own toolbar, go back to the "Toolbars" tab, and then select "New".

Hope this is what you are after. Please advise.

Thanks....Got that far, however when you right click on the macro image/change button image.....there are about 42 pics available, however I was wondering how to incorporate my own ico file...can this be done ?

Update...

In double-checking, I found that Excel apparently does NOT allow access to (non Microsoft) "icon files".

By right-clicking on the custom icon, the only two related options are: 1) "Change Button Image", in which case you can choose from a limited number of Microsoft icons, or 2) use "Edit Button Image" which will permit you to make your own icon, pixel-by-pixel.
