Hi I am having one main report in which I am having subreport. Subreport returns 2 shared variables to main report which are v_min and v_max.

in main report I create the formula f_slab which uses the v_min and v_max variables. Now when I want to add group on this formula f_slab this does not appear in the fields list I have for grouping.

Can someone help me in that...

You can't group on fields that use shared variables. The workaround is to make your subreport the container and put the other report into it as a subreport. Now you can pass the Min and Max to the subreport as linked parameters, which can be used in formulas, and that will group. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
