This might be basic question - asked from a newbie.

I am trying to add a cleaning tape to my jukebox using NW 5.5.2. I need to add only one tape, NW running on Solaris8. I actually don't know what command to use? Can anyone help me out with this.

Many Thanks.

In jukebox configuration check setting of "Cleaning slots" parameter. If is not set, enter slot number (usually last slot) for cleaning cartridge. Set Default cleanings (number of cleaning cycles for new cleaning tape) to value recomended for your device.

Then put cleaning tape to slot, make inventory, Networker should display Cleaning tape in this slot.

Are you statisfied with the software? You are running NW 5.5.2 which ist about 4 years old.

For adding the cleaning cartridge AFTER the installation, you should
- shrink the number of data caritridges by one and then
- add the cleaning cartridge. Then run this command
nsrjb -U 20 -S slot_number

You may of course re-install the jukebox - the easiest way.
