Hi
I've just installed FreeBSD 5.2.1 and I think its excellent!! I've got a slight problem though as I've never used it before. I've added another hard disk to the machine, I've figured out its ad5, but how do I partition it? The freeBSD version of fdisk is VERY different to the linux one I'm used to. Does anyone know of any good partitioning tools? or can someone just let me know the syntax of fdisk? many thanks

ianicr,

Although it's mostly written for installing FreeBSD on a system with multiple hard drives at install time see

especialy the section 2.5.5 Creating Partitions Using Disklabel, and the perhaps better for adding new disks to a running system
