Does anybody have good step-by-step links to help me help others set up Windows XP Professional on a Windows 2000 Server domain network?

One problem that we've noticed is that using the "Network Wizard" doesn't connect us to the network at all (although the system tray icon says we're connected at 10.0Mbps).

We connect to the W2K Domain Controller named "Server" through the "school" domain.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Sincerely,
Ryan

After the XP machine is up and running:
1. Make sure you have a valid IP for your network
2. Right-Click on my Computer | Properties
3. Go To Computer name tab
4. Enter a computer Name | Enter a domain name ("SHCOOL") or (should be school.com for domain in W2K)
5. click OK
6. Enter the administrator or equivilent username and password for joining the domain.
7. Reboot
P.S. This will change the profile of the user currently logged on. Office Apps may have to be re-installed.
