adding a scroll bar

i looked every where. i can not find out how to add a scroll bar to my left frame.
also while i am asking questions, i am adding flash text and i want my background to show through the text layer. how do i do that?

highlight the left frame in the frame panel (open from window menu) and you can set the scrolling properties in the property instpector - off the top of my head i think you get yes (always there), no (never there) and auto (there when required) options
