Dear All!

IT people have locked registry for all users, [including me [evil]] , after migrating from NT to XP. So, when I try to go to References, I get "Error accessing the system registry".

Of course they could unlock my user account for all registry settings, but they asked which registry keys (meaning the minimum) should be unlocked for me to work with.

A nice question, but I don't have the answer.....

And this applies to VBA also!

Er, that sounds like rubbish. If they are generically blocking read access to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT is dynamically created from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes , so we're really talking about blocking Read access to vital class information that numerous applications require) would cripple your workstation.
