I have an option 61 and I'm going to put a PRI on it. What are the steps that I need to take. I'm a key system guy and just getting into the PBX

you jumped in a little deep. does the switch have a pri now. if so their are some prompts you don;t need to look at. if so add the card in ld 17 chg cequ, add the dch in load 17 add the route in load 16 add the trunks in load 14. down load the msdl in load 97 enll the loop in load 60.. you'll need to give yourself a good hour to get this done.. get stuck repost

Yea....I'm used to jumping in deep. Yes it does have a PRI in the switch now on a dual PRI card and I'm going to use the unused loop on that card.

that's a lot better. ld 20 prt the tnb x 1, x being your pri. (ld 60 stat) look at route and member, you need the route, then in 21 prt rdb.. also in 60 note the dch for that pri (channel 24) then in 22 prt adan space dch x... then you can print the cequ in 22, then add the new cequ, dch route and tn

Well I used to work for Bellsouth Business and they were notorious for sending you out without any training. They had that nike slogan.."Just Do It".......Thanks for your help John Poole

i came here from sprint, they sent me to 10 schools in two years, bellsouth sent me to 21 schools in around 5. i don't know of a tech in this area that would be allowed to add pri's to a switch with either a experienced tech or training. different areas usually work with diff rules

I worked for the Birmingham Bellsouth Business Group. I work for a bank now and Bellsouth sends me to more schools as a vendor than when I was a tech there. Go figure

Telco companies would never send you out to fix equipement with no training. That would be absurd. They would make sure that you had all the information you needed to resolve issues in the field.

and if anyone is interested. I have these bridges for sale. They connect most of the New York burroughs.

John...happy weekend...i start my vacation at 4:30pm.

Well they do in Birmingham....they figure if you don't know you can call one of the other guys to help you.

went to cisco school with a 1st level from there. and he said his traning budget was trash.. been a year or 2

Now you know what I'm talking about....And I do appreciate your help John Poole, I haven't done the PRI yet because the circuit hasn't been installed but I'm hoping I can take the information you gave me and run with it. Again, Thanks!!!
