hi all,
Would like to add a disclaimer to all outgoing emails from our exchange server.
We want to have a standard disclaimer across the entire office. Don't really want to go to each machine, so any ideas.?
Regards
Max

You need a 3rd party product to do this.

There are lots of options and it depends if you want anything else out of a product as well (Spam Filtering, AV, Content Control etc etc - endless list).

* GFI MailEssentials - cheap and cheerful way of doing this with some basic features.
* ClearSwift MIMESweeper - adds footer but does lots of Inbound content control, AV etc.
* Secure Computing WebWasher - the Rolls Royce of mail control with AV, Anti-Malware, Content Control, Phising Filters.....huge list & very comprehensive and adds footers as well.

The last two can add different footers based on source e-mail address/domain....not sure if MailEssentials can do that.

Hope that helps.

Mike

Yes, it applies for both 2000 and 2003.

I am skipping 2003 and moving on to 2007, where the function is built-in and a snap to implement, so no, I haven't done this myself (I've been using GFI's disclaimer on my 2000 box).

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.

Exclamier is good, we use it. You can add custom signatures based on AD properties etc, and it won't let you down.

GFI is free for the disclaimer bit and works like a charm as well, so if you don't need anything else, bang on GFI and job done.

The newest GFI does not allow for this any longer.

Oops out of date then.

Bit of a mistake that I think. The number of customers we know that have put GFI in for the disclaimer bit and they have gone on to buy the product is quite numerous.

I'll have to do a bit of digging for my own research.

GFI has said it's no longer doing the free disclaimer part. It hasn't been in a recent build of the product.

yeah partly due to the amount of people that were downloading the free trial just for the disclaimer and not buying when the trial ran out
