What steps are necessary to add a C-Lan card? The card is in, the node name is set, the IP address is set, the subnet address is set, the data module extension number is set. What else do I need to do in order to get it working?

Thats pretty much all you need to make it work. What do you want to do with it though? for administration you need to go add the ip services for it "change ip-services"

Also if you plan to use it for anything outside of the office such a remote administration, (DSA) or IP Softphones, you will need to make sure you have some type of VPN in place to get access through your company's firewall. I have information on Microsoft VPN software, and also valid network port ranges if you need them, reply to this thread.

I will be using the C-Lan card for administration. Does the switch need to be re-booted?

Is it true that I need to have Release 9 for my Definity G3si G3V8 in order to use a C-Lan card for administration?

Cub Man:
You need to be on on R9 or higher to do the administration using C-Lan card.

randyb19 : I don't have "cha ether" command on my system, which release are you on ?

:)

the "Change Ethernet-Options" command became available starting release G3V10
