Adding a 2nd 6port fiber card on mics 4.0 can this be done?? HELP!

I have a custumer with a 4.0 MICS / 2 T-1 Cards working +
1 6port fiber card, 4 0x16, 1 M0x8AM, 1 voice mail.
full house I need to expand ONE More 0x16 for more stations,
is this software able to accomadate a 2nd 6Port Fiber Card,,, Please Help ,,What do I do,,, What do I need?????
The Easiest way if possible please,,,,,

install the 2nd 6 port expander but remember that staion mods only on this card mods 7-10 and mods 11,12 are used for companion if you have XC software

You need XC software and also make sure at least 1 of the 6 port cards is a 6 port COMBO Card.

The COMBO card has the clocking built in that you are going to need for your T1's. It is a combination 6 port fiber / services card.

yes xc sw will be needed to add 6prt expander. with 2 DTI it also advised to use 2 6prt combo cards. Did you check system version to verify whether or not you have 4.0xc? In maintencance check sw version: MICS4.0 is 30mi*** and MICS 4.0 XC USA in 30mk***. sorry about the mod numbering in first reply. should have been mods 9-12 on 2nd 6prt expander for stations only and mods 13,14 for companion. combo part NTBB25GA-93.

ringjenny speaking of ports 13 & 14 have you heard of any rumors about making them avalible in the future? I mean since companion is going bye bye just thought I would ask.

The new software 7.0 will be out in Nov. ??? I was told that because Companion is no longer made that slots 13 and 14 will now be open for use for station or Trunk Mods.

Thanks dtone,...coolcruiser the CO provides the clock source for your T1 the COMBO Card or Service Card is what you use to sync up to there clock. Kind of a gerneric explanation if you need more let me know. Bottom line if you want your T1 to stay up and running clean then yes you need the Combo card. Like ringjenny said with 2 T1's it is recommended that you have 2 Combo Cards. This is for the DTMF receivers but that's another issue.

DTone, the press release says that 13 and 14 are going to be opened up but it doesn't say for what and it IS right after they unveil a new Wireless Control Module that will handle 16 or 32 new wireless series phones. My personal belief is that 13 and 14 will be used for the new WCM only, but still that's pretty cool.

Coolcruiser98..... you can get away with 1 COMBO 6 port expansion card and one regular 6 port expansion card. But if the customer starts complaining about not being able to get a line out or if some Alarm 63's start showing up at the main phone then you are going to have to replace the regular 6 port expansion card for a COMBO 6 port expansion card. BUT YOU MUST HAVE XC SOFTWARE with either option.

More than likely you are going to have to find a technician in your area to help you with this. Just in case the upgrade (from non-XC to XC sw) for some odd reason fails..........
