pc came with 128m of pc133ram as one dimm placed in dimm slot 3 of 3 slots. I got a 256 meg single dimm pc 133 and placed it in every combination possible with the 128m,ie.:1-2,2-1,1-3,3-1,2-3,3-2. The best result was a total of 320m in config 256dimm2 and 128 dimm3. Other results were 288m,128m,and won't boot. Where is the missing 64m?

In case anyone is interested.....I did some research and will answer my own question........It turns out that the original 128M Ram was VC RAM. The new 256M Ram is PC RAM. The VC Ram has to be placed in the 3rd (last) slot. I placed the 256M in slot 2. Even so, the PC recognized only 320M--UNTIL I BOOTED THE NEXT DAY when it recognized all 384M. YOU FIGURE THAT OUT!!!!!
