Is it possible to add new logons to SQL Server 6.5 without using the sa account? I'm looking at creating a VB app that will administer users on SQL Server using a different account. [sig][/sig]

You can allow existing users access to a database that you are dbo for, but adding new logons to a server is a system administrator job hence 'sa' only....unless anyone else can prove me wrong..... [sig]<p> <br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= home</a><br> [/sig]

I think the solution would be to create a &quot;security administrator&quot; id that has dbo privileges in all the databases. [sig][/sig]
