Okay, so I feel like an idiot and maybe I shouldn’t mess with my computer after .....

Here’s my dilemma. I was messing around with control panel and was in Add Remove Windows Components and “accidentally” removed the Windows Accessories. When I tried to reinstall them the system reinstalled the accessories but removed the Internet Explorer shortcuts from the start menu and the desktop. When I tried to re-install IE it removed the accessories. It’s like I’m stuck in a loop. My understanding is if the component is installed and you select it with the check mark it will uninstall. If the component is not installed and you select it, it will install it. Am I out to lunch? Can someone PLEASE help me out?

Have you tried using System Restore to roll back to before you started messing around in Add/Remove Windows Components?

Cheers.

Thanks linney, short & to the point.

Appreciate that....
