I want to add a field to an existing form. This field is from a different table than what the rest of the form is based on. Is this possible?

There are many drop down choices that would be dicey to rebuild so I don't really want to go back, make a join-query and build a new form.

Thanks for any help.

what are you trying to do?
as there be many ways of adding an extra field to a form.

Ok, so I figured out how to use the (...) box to select a field from another table. I navigated to the table, clicked on the field that I wanted to base the checkbox on, and it's handle appeared in the expression builder screen:

=[CLIENTSW]![DomViol]

I saved, opened in form-view and tried to use the checkbox. It produced an error message of: "Control can't be edited; It is bound to the expression '[CLIENTSW]![DomViol]'. So somehow it doesn't write to the field in the second table.
