I need anyone's opinion on this.
I'm currently using the Adaptec 2930 SCSI card for a Sony 10x external burner on a NT workstation box.
I want to upgrade to w2k (pro/server either or)
I know for a fact the 2930 card is not supported in 2000. Does anyone have any suggestions on what SCSI card I should purchase.

I've used the 2940 in another w2k server and it seems to be working fine, but I hear stories that the external porthas issues with w2k.

suggestion and advice would be appreciated!

thanks!

I've built at least 5 systems using the 2940 w/2k, never had any problems. One problem the 2940 has been discontinued and are very hard to find. However, I did find a place in CA they sell them for $100.00 a piece.
Great deal!! Pacific Data 1 888 892-2299.

I hope this helps.
