I was told that "fil" setting under user when setting up an ADAN TTY would not work right. Can anyone explain why the tech would say this. Right now have the setting for MTC, BUG, and SCH. Would like to scale that down using fil.
i've never read up on that prompt, what rls? i would try it and see if it works, it can't do any harm, just make sure you don't attempt to change the tty your typing on, i don't think the switch will let you. if you do down your only access, it can be a problem. a rolm switch let me disu the tty iwas dialed in on, as soon as i did i packed a bag and headed down the road to access the switch on the local term.
Thanks John will try it. I wonder if that is why I couldn't change the DES, was using the TTY I was programming. Everything else I put in worked OK.
Oh by the way had a hell of a time figuring out the pin assignment on the rs232. Seems like the installers flipped the ribbon cable coming from the paddle board. All pins were off on the 9 pin from what the manual said, dont have it with me but pin 3 (TX) was pin 7 going into the paddle board and so on. Little screwy.
Ever run into that on yours? I am at Rel 25.4 Opt 61C
the ribbon is keyed, and no i haven't found a way to get that one backwards. but the des can be changed with the tty active. it's useful to have those a little discriptive
