I am trying (unsucessfully) to remove active directory from one of the bdc's in the network. It appears that server has lost touch with the rest of the network. I can ping everything its all in one subnet. When I go to remove the AD I get errors "Target account name is incorrect". When I check on the operations master, I see that the "PDC" shows as not available, but only from that one server. All others show up fine.

I can remove (if I can remove) AD from that machine, I can leave it off. Not necessary to have it on there.

I tried the removal via the terminal services portal. I do not think that this is a problem though. Just giving as complete a picture as possible.

Servers are all on SP3.

Any Ideas?

thanks
