Hi,

Just a quick question about transferring AD to Native mode from Mixed mode. If I still have NT4 boxes but they are only member servers can I go to Native mode?

If yes, then can I still go to Native mode if I have a Windows98 client on the network? Have 2 Windows98 boxes left but want to go Native mode.

Thanks,
SOKO

i assume you mean going from mixed to native, since you can't go back. yes you can have nt4 member servers and 9x clients...modes only affect the domain controllers

however, keep in mind, if you are going to 2003, there are more steps that need performed. by default 2003 cannot talk with these downlevel boxes and you must adjust some security settings.

Yes, from Mixed mode to Native mode...I just phrased it as to Native mode FROM mixed mode. Thanks for the quick response guys...exactly what I wanted to hear.
