ACU and client versions

I have recently installed Zenworks for desktops 3.2 and look to have it semi working on a few test machines. The problem i have is that we've already gone around and manually installed the newest client - 3.30.00 but didn't enable all the features of the client that i now want, like ndps, remote management and zenworks imaging services. Now i'd like to add these features on all the machines but ACU already sees that it has the newest client and doesn't update. I have reinstalled an old client on a test machine and then rebooted and it updated the client to the current and even installed all the features i want.

How can i get the options i want and keep the new client i already have on all the machines?

Someone told me there is a way to trick ACU into seeing that the "new" client is out by changing the version numbers but didn't remember how to go about doing this and we can't find any mention of it on Novell's site.

You could setup a shortcut to a registry .reg in your login script and change the minor revision number to 0.

HKLM/Network/Novell/System Config/Install/Client Version\Minor Version

Then run the update. ACU will think an older version is installed and run the update.

There is an overwrite setting:

"Note also that Overwrite property determines - if the entry already exists in the registry for that setting (such as if you're running ACU) - what it will do, eg. if set to TRUE the new ADMIN.CFG settings will overwrite the old, whether or not it is different."
